Nan was a one of a kind lady. She was feisty and never hesitated to speak her mind. I know the last few years were difficult for everyone, it was a battle that couldn’t be won. Now Nan has gone to a place where she’s no longer suffering. Her family will have memories of her as she was and they will feel at peace knowing that Nan is at peace. Condolences to Idona, Shannon and great grandson Connor who loved his Nanny Poh.

No matter how old one is when one passes away, it still remains a great loss. Thank you Shannon, Connor and Idona for all your sacrificial assistance during most difficult times while caring for her. May we all reflect on how we can help others in our midst while also helping out those who perform these selfless acts of charity as well. Hazel had a vibrant life…and we can all learn from some of her feisty examples in how to deal with life’s happenings. Many condolences and thoughts with all of the family at this time.

Aunty Hazel, you are in some of my most favorite memories. My cherished, childhood memories include getting my hair cut by you and remembering the way you always had the ability to make me and others laugh so much. You will live with me in my heart and will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathies go out to friends and family.

My sincere condolences to Rene’s family. I knew Rene when she lived in Clearwater and we shared many laughs together. I had lost touch with Rene but several years ago she called someone in Clearwater and got my number instead. I immediately recognized her voice and we had a great chat. What a nice memory. Rest in peace dear Rene.

Dearest Hazel/Rene,
You were a good friend of my mother and father’s and was in the Royal Purple with my mother. They owned the Big Horn Cafe across the street from the barber shop and hairdressing shop which you leased and made a good name and had good business…I was very young and you were kind to me and I will never forget that, I still remember when Idona came up and stayed with you for some time in Clearwater and you lived in a trailer out back on the property…you had a good heart and I never heard you say back things about anyone and that had a positive effect on me as a child..I thought of you often after I went to Vancouver and started my demolition business, wishing I knew how to get a hold of you…may you rest well in eternal peace now that the struggles with old age are over and the best is yet to come…I never forgot you or Idona and was glad I got to meet you and share part of my early life close to where you lived and worked..May God bless you and keep you in His never ending love…Barry for the Joneson family, goodbye for now old friend.
