Donovan, Samuel

January 3, 1940 - May 9, 2012

Tribute

Samuel Robert Donovan passed away in the Mission Memorial Hospital, after a very brief bout with cancer with his loving family by his side.

Born in Toronto, Samuel moved to Vancouver in 1950. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in the 1960’s and worked as a cook until he was injured and had to be discharged. He went onto be affiliated with the Royal Canadian Legion and Royal Canadian Army, Navy, Air Force until his retirement in 2004.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, Ted and Jean Donovan and his twin brother in infancy.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 41 years Cecile, his children Aaron, Samantha, Thomas and granddaughter Olivia as well as many relatives.

There was no service by his request. A family get together will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Agency would be appreciated.

Endless Love.
