Plovie, Raymond Douglas

April 15, 1967 - April 2, 2016

Tribute

It is with the heaviest heart that I announce that the love of my life and soul mate Raymond Douglas Plovie was taken suddenly on Saturday April 2, 2016. Ray is survived by his wife Jodi, 2 sons Mitchell Lock (Cherie), Taylor Lock (Marion), mother Renate Plovie, Brother Rick (Samantha), Nephew Mackenzie, Niece Spencer, Father and Mother in law Walt & Jackie Halbauer as well as many extended family and friends but especially his “brother from another Mother” Dean Francis (Tammy) and nephews Darien & Dylan. Pre deceased by his father, Roger Plovie. Ray & Jodi along with their dog Ally enjoyed many outdoor adventures in their camper they fondly named “Precious”. They would sit by the fire in their lawn chairs pondering and planning their next adventure. Snappy Ray was a well loved Snap-on dealer for the past 22 years, with the last 15 years close to home in the Mission/Abbotsford area. Ray was very well liked and respected by both the company and his customers forming many friendships both professional and personal. Ray leaves very big shoes to fill. A celebration of life will take place on what would've been Ray's 49th birthday, Friday April 15th, 2016 at 3pm, doors open at 2:15 at the Best Western Plus Mission City Lodge, 32281 Lougheed Highway, Mission, BC. Casual attire welcomed. As this is a celebration of Ray's life, and in typical Ray Plovie style we will raise a glass for him with a cash bar and light snacks available immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

I am so saddened to hear about the loss of Ray Plovie..I used to call him “Mr. Plovie” when I saw him when he visited the family business of Transaction Automotive. Mr Brett Massey could not have described him better. A wonderful man to know, a great sense of humor, and an increadeble business man to his clients/friends. He will be sorrily missed by both myself and everyone he touched at Transaction Auto. My love to his entire family at this terrible time.

Jodi, My heartfelt condolences on Ray’s passing. The few times I met Ray I recall him to be a true gentleman who had a great sense of humor. Jodi, there are no words one can say to take your pain away. Hold onto your memories and allow them help you through this difficult time. Thoughts and prayers for you my friend and your family. From: Preston Lahmer
Relation: Cousin

Although it’s been a long time since we’ve been close like the good old days I remember, yesterday reassured me how amazing of a man, husband, father, friend and snap on brother you were. The amount of love shared yesterday, though does not make it any easier, it makes me proud to call you family. I hope you rest peacefully and gracefully for eternity. I can only hope you are blessed with the presence of your father and my father, two more souls gone too soon. I love you bro. And as I used to say I love you “uncle ray”
