Tribute

Joyce Geraldine McDonald passed away suddenly at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Her family and friends thank the wonderful staff at Haro Park Centre for their care and love of Joyce for the past five years of her life. Joyce is predeceased by her mother Elsie McDonald Barre; ex-husband Anthony Boos (1989). Joyce is survived by her children Janice Colleen Boos (Dykstra), Barton Jeffrey Boos, Karyn Denise Julie Boos, Brett Richard Garth McDonald (Aasen),Rees Allan Garrett McDonald (Aasen); grandchildren Shane Thomas Dykstra, James Anthony Dykstra; great grand daugthter; siblings Sonie Barre, Jim Barre (Marilyn) and Roger Barre; life long friends Ollie and Josie whom she loved dearly. Joyce was proud of her accomplishments including her children, grandchildren, and having careers in different fields. In her younger years she was an avid skier. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors and loved all animals, especially birds. She also loved all types of music. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm. This will be in the Sanctuary Room at Haro Park Centre located at 1233 Haro Street, Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer Society of BC is greatly appreciated.
