COLLINS, Christine Gloria (nee Carnegie)
May 23, 1958 – July 13, 2017
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mom, Christine (Chris) on July 13, 2017. Mom was courageous and strong when recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and other complications.
She was born in Salmon Arm BC on May 23, 1958 to Ron and Vera Carnegie and spent most of her life in the Mission/ Hatzic Lake area.
Chris had two children, Ryan (Andrea) and Ashley (Patrick). She was blessed with three grandsons Wyatt, Alex, and Tyson. They will all miss her dearly and will forever be grateful for the love and guidance they received from her.
Mom was predeceased by her mother, Vera and is survived by her father, Ron. She will be forever missed by her, sisters Grace (Bob), Bev (Brent), and Wanda. Her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews will cherish the memory of Mom as caring and loving, Auntie Chris.
Rick, Mom’s long time friend and soul mate will dearly miss her and cherish forever the time they had together. Mom has a large extended family that will always hold her in their thoughts.
As a long time resident and volunteer in the Hatzic Lake area and Everglades Resort, Mom made and treasured many friendships and will be missed by all who knew her. Mom will always be in our hearts and thoughts until we meet again.
One of Mom’s favorite places was Tim Horton’s. The Mission Tim Horton’s sales revenue will be severely impacted. LOL. Every year Mom’s day was made when she managed to get one of the Tim Horton Smile Cookie tee shirts.
A celebration of life will be held at Everglades Resort, September 9, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the BC Cancer Society will be appreciated.
