Tribute
Ada Ziefflie 98, passed away peacefully in Mission, BC, March 21, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born January 11, 1919 in Davidson, Saskatchewan to Cyril Jules Vanghel and Philomena Brigitta (Nuyttens) Vanghel. She was predeceased by husband Ruben Ziefflie in 1984; sons Fred Ziefflie in 1972, Ken Ziefflie in 2005, and Donald Ziefflie in 2012. Ada is survived by sons Jack (Mary), and Doug (Hiromi); daughter Joan (Jim); 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Ada’s father Cyril Vangheluwe immigrated from Rousselare, Belgium on March 3, 1911. The name of the ship was the Virginian, the port of arrival was Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her mother Philomena followed on March 13, 1912. She sailed on the ship Royal Edmund and landed in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She left Belgium during World War I when it was occupied by the Germans. Ada was a strong and beautiful woman and all those who met her were touched by her kind and giving nature.

Ada was a beautiful woman, so kind, generous, accepting.
She was a wonderful mother in law. I’m grateful for all she did for me. She always showed me kindness.
Most of all ,she was an amazing Grandmother to Kayla. Kayla was blessed to have that kind of grandmotherly love.
We will miss you and may you rest in peace. We now have another angel.
