Tribute
Eberhard Walter Grochowski was born April 10, 1937 in Duisburg Germany and passed away September 28, 2012 at the age of 75 in Surrey, BC. Walter, as he was known, immigrated to Canada in 1957 and eventually moved to Alberta where he met Irene, the love of his life, in 1959. They began a family in 1961 and have three sons, Walter (Terry), Edward (Christa), and Allan (Patricia), 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as his family legacy. He is survived by his brother, Joachim, of Germany, and all of his family in Canada apart from one grandson, David, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives in Germany.
A graveside service will be held for Walter on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 1:00pm at Valley View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 14644 72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC. A gathering will follow at the Hartford Woods Clubhouse, in the complex where he lived at the corner of 96th Avenue and 148th Street in Surrey.
