Tribute

It's with great sadness and a broken heart that I tell you that Roger Stanley Donais, son of the late Doris and Orville Donais has passed on November 22, 2016 at the age of 70. He went peacefully at McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge, BC.

 After a 3 year tour in Vietnam in the US Army, Roger retired from active duty in 1969.  Roger drove truck for various trucking companies in Vancouver until he retired in 2008.

Roger was diagnosed with colon cancer in January 2013. He had many hurdles to overcome in the last 3 years, but he lived life to the fullest! Roger was born in Windsor Ontario and moved to Dearborn, Michigan in 1947. In 1961, the family moved to Hayward, California. Roger moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1974, he met Nadine in 1974 and they were married in 1985.  

Roger is survived by his 4 children, Renee and Danielle that live in California and Justin (Élise) and Allison (Chad) that live in Maple Ridge Canada. Roger is also survived by his siblings Carol, Michelle and Jon (Trudy). He had many nieces and nephews. Roger has 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He enjoyed being with his family and loved them all very much. A Celebration of Life will be held December 10 at a private residence.
Memorial donations may be made in Rogers name to the Cancer Research Foundation.
