Tribute

Loved ones of Norma Jean Thompson (nee Moore) sorrowfully announce her passing on September 7, at the age of 66. She was predeceased by her husband Walter (Thom), parents Bill and Marie Moore, and brother Wayne. Norma leaves behind her loving children, Joy (Phil), Kevin, and JW, as well as treasured grandchildren, Taiya, Jayda and Jesse. She is survived by her siblings Cyril (Yvonne), Bev (Bob), Rosemarie (Reuben), Glenn (Val) and Lyle (Shirley), as well as many adoring nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Norma had a rich life with many friends and adventures; she was carefree and nonjudgmental, accepting everyone for who they were. No one who knew her will ever forget those sparkling blue eyes, that fabulous sense of humour, her easy laugh, and her huge, warm personality. Family members wish to thank Dr. Harjans and Dr. Fava and the nurses and staff at Surrey Memorial and Royal Columbian hospitals for their wonderful care. Norma passed peacefully with family and close friends by her side. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 1:00 p.m. at Bear Creek Park Pavilion, 13750 88th Ave., Surrey, B.C.
