At this very sad time we send all our love to you from the UK; although we haven’t seen the “McDonnell Canadian Clan” since childhood the McDonnell family have such strong bonds that the love and connection has always been there and each has been there for the other in good times and bad – we all stand with you now. One of the first of the McDonnell’s to leave Ireland Uncle Desmond & Aunt Marie encouraged the rest of us to do the same. Although I did not know Desmond personally I worked with his son Aidan for a few years. Knowing and seeing the quaility of a man that Aidan is I can only say that Desmond must have been a good father and agood man. One of lifes true gents. A real family man, great character and always one for advice, whether I wanted it are not, I got it. He always treated us Crawfords as kids no matter what age we were.
